Turn screenshots into actionable tasks

Stop retyping chats and emails. Upload the screenshot and get every ask, deadline and owner as an editable checklist — free to try.

The average screenshot that matters hides two or three asks: a request here, a deadline three messages up, a name attached to neither. Reading them all, every day, is the actual job — and retyping them into a list doubles it.

The faster path keeps your judgment and drops the typing: upload the screenshot, review what the vision model extracted, and export the finished checklist wherever your system lives.

Steps

  1. 01 — Pick a screenshot with a visible ask

Chat threads, emails, tickets and specs work best — anything where a request and ideally a date are visible on screen. Capture the whole message, not a corner of it.

  2. 02 — Upload it to ActionShot

Drag it in, pick the file, or snap it with your camera. Uploading is free and private: the image stays in your account and is never used to train models.

  3. 03 — Review the extracted checklist

Every action keeps the screenshot's own wording, with deadlines shown when the image mentioned one. Edit, complete, copy or delete items — low-confidence extractions are flagged so you can check them.

  4. 04 — Export it where work happens

Copy as text or Markdown, download CSV for your tracker, grab a calendar file for dated tasks, or send the whole list to Notion as to-do blocks in one click.

Your next screenshot is one upload away

Uploads are free and unlocking the checklist takes Pro — unlimited checklists for less than a coffee a month. Private by design, in English and Spanish.

Questions

Which screenshots work best?

Chat threads, emails, task lists and specs where the ask and its deadline are visible. Dense or clipped screenshots still work, but only what the model can actually read gets extracted.

Does it invent tasks that aren't there?

No. If a screenshot has no clear request you get an empty result instead of filler. Nothing is added that the image doesn't support.

Where does the checklist go afterwards?

Text, Markdown, CSV, calendar file, or Notion as to-do blocks with deadlines, people and priorities included — then paste it wherever your system lives.
