Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what ActionShot collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can control. It applies to this website and the ActionShot app.
What we collect
Account details: your email address and, if you choose to give it, your name. When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier and email address so we can create your session.
Content: the screenshots you upload and the analyses derived from them — the extracted actions, deadlines, people and any edits you make afterwards.
Operational data: first-party usage events (for example, how many analyses you ran this month, so plan limits can be enforced) and error logs. Error logs record what failed and when; they do not contain your screenshot contents or your password.
How it is used
Only to run the service: store your screenshots and analyses, show your history, enforce plan limits, perform the analysis you request, process billing and send you account notices such as security or payment messages.
We do not use your content to build advertising profiles, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
AI processing
When you press Analyze, your screenshot is sent to our AI provider so a vision model can extract tasks and deadlines from it. The image is used for that request only. Your screenshots are never used to train models — not by us, and not by our AI provider under its API data terms. Analysis runs server-side; your image is never exposed publicly, and no other user can reach it.
Storage and retention
Screenshots are kept in private, per-user storage with access controls that allow only your account to read them. Analyses stay alongside them in your account for as long as you keep them.
You choose the retention: delete an analysis and its screenshot is deleted with it, and deleting your account removes your screenshots, analyses, usage history and profile. If you need help removing something manually, ask at support at actionshot dot app.
Sharing
The only third parties that touch your data are the ones needed to run ActionShot: our hosting and storage provider, the AI provider that performs the analysis you request, and Stripe, our payment processor, for subscriptions. We may disclose information if the law requires it, and we will tell you unless we are legally prevented.
Cookies
ActionShot uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, plus short-lived cookies during sign-in with Google. There are no third-party advertising or analytics cookies anywhere in the app or on these pages; usage analytics are first-party events with no free-text properties and no cross-site tracking.
Your rights
You can view and correct your name and email on the Account page, export your analyses from the app, and delete individual analyses or your whole account without contacting us. You can also request a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support at actionshot dot app.
International transfers
ActionShot and its providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, transfers rely on the providers’ contractual safeguards, and we only work with providers that commit to appropriate protection for personal data.
Children
ActionShot is not directed at children under 13. If the law in your country sets a higher age of digital consent (for example 16), you must meet that age to use the service on your own.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in a material way, we update this page and refresh the date above. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will say so clearly in the app or by email.
Contact
For questions about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights above, email support at actionshot dot app. We answer data requests as quickly as we reasonably can.
